About Archana Kochhar

She luxuriously draws inspiration from the 18th century Indian regalia, Victorian costume and architecture to ancient heirlooms and heritages of the bygone period.
Unusual, almost ethereal silhouettes are crafted from her vivid creative reservoirs encompassing her opulent bridal trousseau ravishing evening wear and prêt line. Each of her lines, are all of her repertoire that addresses the fashion craving of global modern audience. Her design sensibility is a perfect marriage between exquisite embroideries and nouveau texturizing techniques, all these in luscious colour palettes, making each piece “a must have season after season”.
Due to the high acclaim she received, Archana was invited by Galleries L’fayette Paris to present her collection with international design houses like Kenzo, Christian Lacriox, Ungaro and Nina Ricci in March 2008. Archana is one of the favorites amongst Bollywood glitterati, which includes Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, Mahima Choudhary, Sameera Reddy, etc. to name few.
Her recent showstoppers and muses, includes young vibrant new faces like Minisha Lamba, Jacqueline Fernandez etc. She has also styled Amrita Rao for her first television venture the Perfect Bride. She has dressed finales for Beauty Pageants like Mrs India, Navy Queen and has contributed to various Miss India's International Pageant trousseau.
Archana has successfully participated in International Trade fairs like IGEDO in Düsseldorf. Designing is Archana’s domain and individualizing her forte. Her design philosophy revolves around making her client’s personality shine while she creates the complete Archana Kochhar look.
The Collection
Sunset Boulevard - The collection is soaked in the magical moments of dissolvent sunset It is the visual imagery of coral kissed clouds floating behind a peach canvas set-up with the opera of glossy rays, translated into exquisite embroideries of crystals and glass beads. This line features dramatic silhouettes ranging from opulent gowns to constructed sarees. The rich palette oscillates from saffron to pomegranate to tangerine to deep scarlet and blood which are amplified with reflecting sparkles of the crystal mesh. The line is all about encapsulating the mystical aura of the dimming day as it dresses for the darkest night
Aam Ras - Archana brings the glowing summer charm with this collection inspired by the golden fruit, the mango. The tender sweetness of rich flavors is being narrated into regal line of trousseau, ranging from lavish lehengas garnished with treasured embroideries teamed with sensual cholis to floor sweeping gowns marinated in sprinkling diamonds and golden sheen. Made from finest filigree lame, satins and georgettes, Archana whips a crisp collection with solar soul of positive spirit
