Q. How did you become a clothes designer?
VERMA: My father was a tailor and he didn?t want me to become a designer but to become a tailor like him. But I was not going to stop until I made it as a clothes designer.
Q. What is the SARV range of clothes?
VERMA: SARV is Sanjeet Anand and Rohit K Verma. It?s also a Sanskrit word and it means ?everything under one roof?.
Q. What has your experience been like working in the Indian Film Industry?
VERMA: Very interesting and stressful but fun!
Q. Tell us about your appearance in last year?s hit movie ?Fashion??
VERMA: Well they wanted someone very flamboyant and I was picked. I play a small role of a drug dealer and I get Kangana hooked onto drugs in the film.
Q. How was it working with Priyanka Chopra?
VERMA: She?s a very sweet human being and kind hearted. She knows about fashion and you can?t compare her to other heroines. She?s very stylish.
Q. You designed clothes for the wedding of Liz Hurley and Arun Nayer tell us about your experience working with them?
VERMA: It was a great experience and I?ve also worked for Joanne Nayar. The entire episode was over rated with too much press and media but it was great publicity for me.
Q. You?ve worked with Delhi?s hot shot designer Rohit Bal, how was?
VERMA: No comment!
Q. Is there anyone in particular you would like to dress?
VERMA: I would love to dress Madonna and Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez. I would love my clothing range and myself to be associated with them.
Q. What designers would you like to work with?
VERMA: Zuhair Murad, I worship him and would love to work with him.
Q. ?I refuse to work with leather or fur?, what is your view on this?
VERMA: I?m against killing animals, but I am a meat eater!
Q. What are your views on the ?size zero? debate?
VERMA: I don?t believe in the size zero debate. I believe that a model should just be fit and healthy and be able to get into designers clothes. People should make their own style statement.
Q. What would be your advice to a designer starting out?
VERMA: Believe in yourself, be confident and be happy.
Q. Yves Saint Laurent once said he wished he had invented jeans. Is there an item of clothing you wish you'd invented?
VERMA: Perfumes! They are beautiful and it changes your personality and it reflects people as individuals.
Q. What is your style statement?
VERMA: Crazy, wacky, flamboyant and going bizarre!
Q. Do you have a mantra in life?
VERMA: Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you one day.
Q. What are your future projects that you currently are working on?
VERMA: I am preparing for India Fashion Week and Dubai Fashion Week along with a lot of surprises coming up so you will have to wait and see.
