Born to a Punjabi family in Kabul, Afgahnistan, we caught up with the Ex-Miss India 2001 and finalist Miss Universe 2001
2009-01-02
Q. How had 2008 fared for you?
CJ: It's been great - I have been involved in some great projects, and have been lucky enough to get some really good projects offered to me also. The diary is filling up, and touch wood some exciting times ahead. Of course, the Mumbai attacks; last year has really changed the mood not only of the country but the world. It really was an emotional time for everyone.
Q. Any unfulfilled desires from 2008 that you'd like to carry on and complete in 2009?
CJ: No, I have a few things planned that I want to get done, but they are all personal objectives. I have disclosed one, when I was in London being interviewed on New Years Eve and that's to get my pilots license.
Q. What are you most looking forward to in 2009?
CJ: A stronger and a united Mumbai. Also I am looking forward to the film projects I have signed. I have quite a bit of traveling to do for filming, and I love seeing the world. So it's all very positive.
Q. According to you who is the most stylish person from the industry?
CJ: It's hard to pick one, so many quality designers and well-dressed people where do I start.
Q. Favourite possession?
CJ: There's never one!
Q. Hugs or Kisses?
CJ: Depends on the mood.
Q. Favourite cuisine?
CJ: Can't beat home cooking.
Q. How was your appearance at the New Years Eve event you came for in London?
CJ: Amazing...the 007 themes was great. Coming in the Aston Martin, and the suits and dresses of the guests made it special. The venue in itself was amazing and the entertainment was really good. I got to interact with the crowd and talk to them, unlike shows where the artiste just comes performs and goes. It was more personal.
Q. Lastly your ideal New Years Eve night would be spent with...
CJ: With my friends and family.
