Q. How did the story of 'Pyaar Impossible' come to you?
A. The story came to me a long time back even before 'Neal Aur Nikki' was made, but it needed a lot of refinement and it wasn’t as contemporary as I wanted it to be. So we started work on 'Neal aur Nikki' and it was decided that I come back to the film at a later stage.
Q. Is 'Pyaar Impossible' similar to 'There’s Something About Mary'?
A. 'Pyaar Impossible' is a completely different film, extremely sweet and simple and is nothing like the film mentioned. It’s about a geek, not having the courage, not outgoing and totally in love with Priyanka’s character Alisha. Will pyaar be possible or impossible that’s the question?
Q. Had you always wanted to Jugal to direct this film?
A. You know it was really great working with Jugal, although the film was written by me, he could see what I was seeing, and we had the same vision. He would always give me suggestions and we being friends helped immensely. We are all really pleased with the way the film is shaped up.
Q. Priyanka said you spoilt her rotten as a producer, what did you do for her?
A. (Laughs) She is such a sweet girl, she being the star she is had not (meant to be no) heirs of any kind, and she just brought so much positive energy on to the sets. As for me spoiling her, she is just being too sweet, as producers we do the same for each unit hand. Priyanka is awesome in the film.
Q. Why should people go and see 'Pyaar Impossible'?
A. PI is a sweet and simple film to watch. It’s a film that no one can hate, you can go and see the film with the whole family and come out smiling.
