Tom Cruise spent about an hour signing autographs for fans at The National Movie Awards in London last night

Accompanied by his wife, Katie Holmes, the actor was there to collect the screen icon prize. After receiving his award, Tom thanked everyone for allowing him to make the films he wants to make.
Meanwhile the big movie winner of the night was Twilight. The series won three gongs, including performer of the year for Robert Pattinson.
Harry Potter went away with a couple of trophies too. While Sherlock Holmes and The Time Travellers Wife also got statues.
The National Movie Awards went out live on ITV last night and they are voted for by the general public.
