The husband of actress Brittany Murphy has been found dead at his home in Hollywood, according to police

The late actress Brittany Murphy's husband has been found dead.
British screenwriter Simon Monjack died last night at the Hollywood home he shared with the 'Clueless' star, who passed away five months ago from pneumonia complicated by drug use.
Out-of-date prescription drugs were found at their house after Murphy died, but Monjack claimed they were his, saying, "I suffer from seizures. I had a heart attack coming back from Puerto Rico last year."
The fire department responded to an "unspecified medical aid request" at the property last night, and tried in vain to save him. He was 39.
An LA Police spokesperson said, “We have detectives at the scene. They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it."
