Actress Deepika Padukone made her first appearance on the red carpet at the infamous Cannes Film festival; having attended as the brand ambassador for liquor brand Chivas Regal.
Deepika chose to go traditional and was dressed by Indian designer Rohit Bal and his creation.
We love Rohit's work though it's got to be said that the sari worn by Deepika wasn't anything spectacular. Although made-up well, with her hair tied back, and the R.K [Ranbir Kapoor] tattoo on display, she didn't look extraordinary, considering the event is the Cannes. Its all well and good going traditional, but she seemed as though she was attending a wedding rather than an international event.
Cannes was the very place where Aishwarya Rai had been inundated with film offers from Hollywood, this could prove to be a golden opportunity for Deeps also. Let's wait and see.
