Bachchan Bahu like every year graces the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival and this year was no different

Every year, Aishwarya Rai is scrutanized for her choice of designer for the Cannes International Film Festival red carpet. And this year is no different, she comes under the scanner yet again. Some years her look's a hit and some years its a total disaster. We're happy to report that this year, 2010, Aishwarya got it more right than wrong.
At the premiere of 'Robin Hood' yesterday she wore a violet blue embroidered tulle and mousseline gown from Elie Saab for the opening ceremony and we have to say it suited her. She looked fresh, confident, and quite lovely.
The general consensus here at the Xeher Office was that we wished she'd done something different to her over 'poufy' hair, though the long curls did look elegant.
Ash had worn Elie Saab to Cannes in 2009 as well. That had been a one-shouldered silver-gray gown, and she'd had her hair pulled back.
Although husband Abhishek hadn't accompanied her, she did have friend and colleague Eva Longoria ambassador to L'Oreal.
Abhishek is away shooting in Istanbul but he got to know what she looked like at Cannes right away. AB Jr tweeted, "Thanks to all those who sent me photos of the wife at Cannes. Couldn't be with her today as i'm filming in Istanbul. but will join her there on the 17th to promote Raavan."
