Ten-year-old singer Chloe Hickinbottom, dancer Tobias Mead and performing dog Chandi have emerged as the early favourites to win this year's 'Britain's Got Talent'.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes has given the trio odds of 8/1 to triumph in the fourth series of the ITV talent show.
Singer Chloe wowed the judges and got a standing ovation from the audience after her rendition of Vera Lynn's "The White Cliffs of Dover". She later burst into tears when presenters Ant and Dec congratulated her on her performance.
Dancer Tobias drew gasps from the audience with his backwards routine, which judge Amanda Holden hailed as one of the best she has seen on the show.
Meanwhile, music teacher Tina Humphrey introduced the judges to her dog Chandi, who performed a dance routine with her. Earlier in the show, Simon Cowell had revealed that he would like a dog to win this series.
David Williams, of Ladbrokes, said: "Chloe has all the ingredients to go all the way. It's always encouraging when there are tears so early in the series.
"Punters love it when the heart-strings are pulled."
Other favourites from the first episode included camp entertainer Kevin Cruise and drummer Kieran Gaffney.
More than 12 million viewers tuned in on Saturday night - the highest ever ratings for the opening show in the series.
