Skincare is very vital for women, as the demand and want for a fresh and glowing skin grows. Certain South Asian or oriental remedy are reputed to show better results then the synthetic material available in western market. They have no side effect and no price tags! Perhaps you can find them in your kitchen or your backyard.

1. Turmeric
2. Lemon
3. Multani Mitti
4. Honey
5. Curd
6. Almond Paste/Oil
7. Besan [Gramflour]

These are some of the best antiseptic/antiwrinkle ingredients for beautiful skin. These mixed together and used can result into healthy looking skin.

Skin regime with natural ingredients and herbs is one of the most preferred way in Indian household as these were something  discovered and learnt from grandma’s recipe. The step of cleansing, toning, moisturizing by these ingredients are not only easy but also enhances skin tone.

CLEANSER: Nature's most effective natural cleanser. Take half a cup of cold milk. Add half teaspoon of salt. Stir. Take balls of cotton, soak and then gently dab milk and salt lotion all over forehead, face, and neck. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Apply again. Now rub gently in circular motions and wash off. The salt in the milk gently exfoliates dead skin and the milk nourishes the skin. Your face instantly gets a fresh and glowing look. This is good for all skin types.

TONER:
Aloe, Known for its soothing effects, this natural healer is an excellent way to treat damaged or sunburned skin by encouraging skin regeneration naturally. Available in tubes at the drugstore, simply snapping off a twig from an aloe plant and squeezing out the liquid also does the trick.

While the treatments above are good for all skin types, try some of these for special skin concerns:

FOR DRY SKIN: If you suffer from dry skin, you have to be careful not to add to your discomfort by unknowingly using a drying agent on it. Mint toners made from an extract of 2 handfuls of fresh mint leaves boiled in 100grams of water and applied to the face with cotton wool are a refreshing alternative.

FOR OILY SKIN: Try concocting a toner using honey and egg. Whisk one egg until it thickens, adding 1 tsp. of honey and 1 tsp. of lemon juice. Apply to face and neck for 10 minutes, washing with warm water. Dab dry.

FOR NORMAL SKIN: Rose water not only cleans, but hydrates and nourishes the skin in order to increase circulation, hydrate it, and restore natural PH levels.

Cucumber also is a refreshing toner. Simply chop a small fresh cucumber into a half cup of plain yogurt. Apply to skin for 10-15 minutes, washing off with warm, clear water.

Freshening the skin with a toner is a quick and easy way to give your skin a lift. Just remember: Natural skin toners are made with fresh ingredients with a short shelf life. No preservatives are added, so leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator for 1-3 days before being discarded. Never use anything that smells bad.

ASTRINGENT:
Lemon is a good natural astringent and is often availed by majority beauty conscious individuals. You can soak in a cotton pad and apply it all over the face and neck. Wash off after sometime and feel refreshed.Cucumber is a great natural skin astringent. You can grate a cucumber and use the juice to apply to your skin.
