Each Commonwealth Contestant representing their own Country competed against 53 other Nations within their category of Miss, Mrs or Teen. Some countries saw more then one representative with category's for Arts, Culture, Charity, Environment and Education Divisions.
All Commonwealth Title Winners will begin there roles as ambassador's promoting the community aims and objectives of the Miss Commonwealth Pageant in there region as well as internationally.

The ultimate aim is the increased promotion of Quality of Life improvement in the Commonwealth and around the world.
The pageant’s objectives include the promotion of Commonwealth unity, cultural awareness, racial harmony and equality, social inclusion, eradication of poverty and homelessness, education, children’s welfare, family values, youth development, good parenthood, international volunteering, tourism, environmental protection, and fundraising for registered charities and humanitarian and environmental projects around the world.
